The Beginning
The early years were typical of most small power and constructing firms, where survival was the immediate concern. Despite the difficulties of the economic situation in the country the company prospered. The company started as a business Enterprise in 1995. But as a matter of fact the company was incorporated with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) Abuja in August, 2007 under the Companies and Allied Matters Act 1990 as a limited liability company with our head office address located at No. 6 Ajesa Street, off Aminu Kano Crescent Wuse 2 Abuja.

Expansion

It was the energy, drive and business acumen of the Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Mark Ukaeche (MNSE) that enabled the firm to grow. In its earlier years, the operations expanded into Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) and then Agriculture and Mining. Positioning Markcillio Engineering Ltd (MEL) as a major 
indigenous power systems engineering company dedicated to providing engineering solutions in the areas of Mining, Renewable Energy, Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution Grids. Other areas are Agriculture, Oil and Gas, Telecommunications, Construction and Turnkey Projects. Our solutions are provided in a safe, reliable, economic and environmentally friendly manner..
Building on our success during the early years of our company, expansion continued and branch operations were later opened in Lagos, Owerri and Enugu.

Restructuring and Growth

MEL has over the years acquired extensive experience and demonstrated outstanding performance in the Nigerian power sector with laudable records in electromechanical, civil and high voltage power projects (2x150MVA, 2x60MVA, 330/132/33kV DC Transmission Lines) in South-East and South-South regions of Nigeria in partnership with some international companies such as; Cobra 91 Ltd, DCPL of India, AST Modular of Barcelona (now a division of Schneider Electric), ONYX Scientific Inc. – USA, OSI Inc. – Canada etc.

Our notable Clients are; Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), World Bank (PMU), Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Federal and States Governments, Private and Corporate Organizations.

Today Markcillio Engineering Ltd (MEL), continues to be a house hold name company in Power, Agriculture, Mining, ICT and Oil & Gas Sectors of the Nigerian Economy.
